Christian Recreation vs Worldly Amusement  – There is a cost of discipleship. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus speaks many times about this cost in very clear and sometimes strong words. Those who experience a real encounter with God will never be the same. They found “the hidden treasure”, they found “the pearl of great price”, they found the One who can fulfill their deepest needs and they are ready “to sell” their old lifestyle to become a new creature, to become sons and daughters of God. May this be our experience. Christian recreation is a topic which needs much prayer and study because no one of us can avoid it in the practical life.
